Silicon carbide nozzles are high-temperature-resistant, long-lasting devices with excellent performance. They effectively remove sulfur and dust, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. They are frequently used in the automotive industry because they can efficiently clean and dewax automobiles during manufacturing, and they are also easy to operate. Now, let’s take a closer look at them together. Silicon carbide nozzle Installation highlights and precautions!
Key points and precautions for installing silicon carbide nozzles:
1. Be sure to clean the surface of the silicon carbide nozzle thoroughly. Otherwise, the tightening effect will be compromised. The installer must perform an inspection to ensure that all dust (such as packaging materials used during transportation) covering the joint area has been completely blown away. During installation, proceed only after the system has undergone a trial run and passed the cleaning verification.
2. To keep the silicon carbide nozzle dry, the connecting parts must be able to adequately withstand the pressure generated during normal operation of the silicon carbide nozzle. The silicon carbide nozzle should be installed using dedicated elbows and tees.
3. When installing the silicon carbide nozzle, do not disassemble, reassemble, or modify the nozzle head. Additionally, no decorative coatings should be applied to the nozzle head. Each bonding system must ensure that the entire surface is involved in the bonding process.
4. When installing the head, please use the dedicated wrench and strictly prohibit using the head’s frame to tighten it. If the head frame or splash guard becomes deformed or shows signs of original damage, replace it with a head of the same specification and model.
5、 Silicon carbide nozzle When the nominal diameter is less than 10 mm, a filter should be installed on the distribution pipe or on the branch pipes.
6. Install protective devices on silicon carbide spiral nozzles that are installed in locations prone to mechanical damage.
7. When installing silicon carbide nozzles, the distance between the splash guard and the ceiling, doors, windows, openings, or walls must meet the design requirements.
8. When the spray nozzle discharge is higher than the bottom of a nearby beam or the underside of a ventilation duct with a width less than 1.2 m, the vertical distance between the spray nozzle discharge and the bottom of the beam or the underside of the ventilation duct shall comply with the relevant standard specifications.
9. When the width of the ventilation duct exceeds 1.2 m, the silicon carbide spiral nozzle should be installed in a position below its bottom surface.
Installation method for silicon carbide nozzles:
1. Use a blade to carefully remove any debris within a 10-centimeter area above and below the cut, ensuring that the outer diameters at the top and bottom are roughly the same. After cleaning, wipe the interface and the surrounding outer wall with a dry cloth—there must be no water present.
2. Use coarse iron wire to secure any usable old items. Pull the metal wire downward toward the silicon carbide spiral nozzle, wrap it around the nozzle, and fix both ends of the wire about 50 centimeters away from the outlet of the branch pipe. If the wire is too close, the nozzle won’t be secure; if it’s too far, you’ll waste wire. If the nozzle is located at one end of the branch pipe and the distance is less than 50 centimeters, you can place a board between the wire and the nozzle to ensure that the angles formed by the wire at both ends of the nozzle are roughly consistent, thereby preventing the nozzle from tilting sideways.
3. Mix the glue with a suitable additive, stir thoroughly, and after securely fastening the nozzle’s upper and lower connections, begin rolling the fabric. Reapply paste every few rolls, spreading it evenly. Adjust the number of wraps according to need; using narrower fabric can help better wrap around the inlet area and provide a more secure hold.
4. Use scissors to trim off any loose yarn ends. Once the silicon carbide spiral nozzle is securely installed, the paste will begin to set in about three days. The setting time varies depending on the ambient temperature—colder temperatures will delay the setting process.
5. Securing the new silicon carbide spiral nozzle: You can use fine metal wire (or cloth) to secure the new nozzle. Simply wrap the wire around the branch pipe at the top of the nozzle, pull it over to the new nozzle, and once tied securely, use the wire to tightly fasten the cloth (or wire) onto the water pipe—from top to bottom—ensuring that the nozzle is in close contact with the water pipe for stable fixation.
