The groundbreaking ceremony for the 1-million-unit-per-year project of precision silicon carbide structural components for new energy applications, organized by Weifang Huamei Fine Technical Ceramics Co., Ltd., was held with great solemnity.

On the morning of July 9, Fangzi District held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 2022 summer key projects, including the commencement of the project by Weifang Huamei Fine Technology Ceramics Co., Ltd. to produce 1 million precision silicon carbide structural components for new energy applications annually.
Zhou Honggang, Secretary of the District Party Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Li Lianghua, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and District Mayor, presided over the ceremony. District leaders including Liu Huadong, Pan Zhendong, and Gao Fengjin also attended the event.
The total investment for the project is 950 million yuan. The planned project involves the construction of a precision silicon carbide structural components facility for new energy applications, primarily producing mid-to-high-end precision silicon carbide structural components used in the manufacturing of new-energy lithium batteries, high-end precision silicon carbide structural components配套 with diffusion furnaces used in the photovoltaic industry, and precision silicon carbide structural components used in the production processes of high-end electronic semiconductors and chips.
After the project commences, Huamei Fine Ceramics will muster full enthusiasm, work backward from the deadline, and adopt a visual management approach. We will carry out high-standard planning, design, and construction for the new project, and under the premise of ensuring safe production, we will make every effort to accelerate completion, early commissioning, and swift realization of benefits. This will enable us to achieve comprehensive success in social, ecological, and economic terms, and contribute Huamei’s strength to the robust development of the silicon carbide industry in Fangzi District and to the district’s overall economic growth!
